Use Case
In some situations, a security program like virus scanner or other security suites blocks the functionality of the product. You can solve such issues by adding program folders or executable to exclusion or to whitelist.
Solution
Please add following program folders to your list of exclusion or white list:
Windows
C:\Program Files\Acronis\
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Acronis\
C:\ProgramData\Acronis\ (for Windows Vista, 7, 2008, 8, 10, 2012, 2016)
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Acronis (for Windows XP, 2003)
For x64 systems:
C:\ProgramData\Acronis
C:\Program Files (x86)\Acronis
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Acronis
C:\Program Files\Acronis
