Use Case:
You are running Acronis SCS Cyber Backup 12.5 Hardened Edition Build 12.5.15590 and wish to upgrade to a newer version of Acronis SCS Cyber Backup 12.5.
Solution:
Due to an issue in build 15590, it is required that an export of backup plans be done and imported in to a clean install of Acronis SCS Cyber Backup 12.5 Update 4.1 and Higher. Previous alerts and activities will not import in from the old installation.
Export Plans
To export plans:
- Log in to the management console
- Select Plans on the left menu
- Select the plan you wish to export
- On the right menu select export
The plan will export as a JSON file that can be imported in to the new installation of the management console.
Uninstall
Proceed to uninstall the previous version of Acronis SCS Backup 12.5, removing previous configurations and settings then install Acronis SCS Cyber Backup 12.5 Update 4.1 (build 16371) or newer.
Import
From the plans menu, you may import the plan.
To import plans:
- Log in to the management console
- Select Plans on the left menu
- Select import on the right menu
- Select the JSON file for the plan you wish to import
Upgrade Agents
Proceed to manually upgrading the agents by running the installer on each machine and then assign the newly updated agents to their respective imported plans.
If the agent fails to show up in the new installation, please perform a manual registration.
