SCS KB 1051: Upgrading to 12.5 SCS Hardened Edition on Linux

• Acronis Cyber Backup 12.5 SCS Hardened Edition

Symptoms

It is possible to run a Acronis Cyber Backup 12.5 SCS Hardened Edition 4.x installer over a Acronis Cyber Backup 12.5 Update 5 and newer install if the operating system is Linux. 

Solution

This is to be prevented in future releases as this is not currently supported. If running the Acronis Cyber Backup 12.5.16180 or higher, it is advised to uninstall that version manually before installing Acronis Cyber Backup 12.5 SCS Hardened Edition.
