Q: Can I register my existing agents to the Acronis SCS Cyber Protect Cloud / Do I need to install a new agent to connect to the Acronis SCS Cyber Protect Cloud DC?
A: The Acronis International Cloud and the Acronis SCS Cyber Protect Cloud Cloud operate on different builds. To ensure full functionality, please uninstall the Acronis International agent and install the latest agent of the Acronis SCS Cyber Protect Cloud which can be found inside of your management console.
Q: What storage destinations are FIPS certified?
A: The Acronis SCS Cyber Protect Cloud storage. The Acronis SCS Cyber Protect Cloud has numerous certifications – including FIPS 140-2, DoDIN APL, HIPAA, and CJIS compliance.
Q: If I add my own storage does this maintain FIPS certification?
A: If you require FIPS-validated encryption on Local storage, you must provide your own encryption with a FIPS-validated cryptographic module.
Q: Can I migrate backups from Acronis International Cloud DCs to the Acronis SCS Cyber Protect Cloud DC?
A: Due to FIPS and other certifications, data can not be migrated from the Acronis International Cloud to the Acronis SCS Cyber Protect Cloud. New backup chains would need to be created within the Acronis SCS Cyber Protect Cloud.
Q: Can I bring my existing protection plans from the Acronis International cloud to the SCS Cyber Protect Cloud?
A: Yes, you can export existing plans to a .json file and import them without issue. Note that any features currently unavailable in the SCS Cyber Protect Cloud will be ignored.
Q: Can I access backups from other Acronis products in the Acronis SCS Cyber Protect Cloud management console?
A: Yes. You will be able to add local and network storage through your backup storage to any Acronis SCS Cyber Protect Cloud agent and access previous backups.
