Use Case

In the event that custom boot media needs to be created for a Microsoft Surface device drivers are needed for all hardware to be recognized. 

Solution

1. Download the appropriate MSI installer for the Microsoft Surface device:
   • For example: Surface Book 3: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=101315
2. Once Downloaded, launch the Command Prompt at the downloaded file's location and run the following command:

MSIEXEC /a <Downloaded_File>.msi TARGETDIR=C:\SurfaceDrivers /qn

Once complete this location will house all drivers for that device and can be imported using the boot media creator for the Acronis product.
