How to Modify a Backup Target

This article gives a step by step guide on moving a current backup file to a new destination

Applies to:

• Acronis SCS Cyber Backup 12.5 Hardened Edition
• Acronis Cyber Backup 12.5
• Acronis Cyber Protect 15
• Acronis Cyber Protect 16

How-To:

1. Navigate to the folder containing your backup file (.tibx)
2. Move desired backup file to the new destination
3. Log into your Acronis Management Console
4. Navigate to Plans and locate the backup plan that corresponds with the backup moved in step 2
5. Choose "Edit"
6. Enter in the path to the new backup destination in the "Where to Back Up" field
7. Save the plan

This will keep the previous backup chain as the new destination contains the original .tibx file.
