Introduction: Acronis SCS has changed the cryptographic module in its software, Acronis Cyber Backup SCS 12.5 Hardened Edition v4.9.1, back to Acronis SCS Cryptographic FIPS Object Module for OpenSSL (certificate #4615) to maintain CMVP and DoDIN APL compliance.

Solution: Upgrade to Acronis Cyber Backup 12.5 SCS Hardened Edition v.4.10
What do you need to know?
- See SCS CN 2301.
- The Acronis SCS Cryptographic Module was removed from CMVP’s historical list on 9/27/2023 and returned to Acronis Cyber Backup SCS 12.5 Hardened Edition product in version 4.10 of the software.
- The hardware, software, and/or firmware remains otherwise unchanged from Acronis SCS Cyber Backup SCS Hardened Edition Server and SCS Hardened Edition Agent Rel. 12.5 TN 1924001.
- We see no signs of any vulnerability based on the return of our cryptographic module.
