How to specify custom port for SQL server during Management Server installation

Introduction

If your SQL instance listens to a non-default port, you can specify the necessary custom port during installation in Windows.

Solution

1. Launch Acronis Cyber Backup installation file and click Customize installation settings to configure the setup.
2. Select Management Server (and other components, if needed).
3. When installation wizard asks to specify database for Management Server, select Use external Microsoft SQL Server 2012 or higher.
4. In the provided field, specify the SQL server and custom port, separated by a comma:<server>,<port>

   

5. Specify other parameters as needed
